Quinno _ left this review about The Lansdowne

Very long pub, two large buildings knocked together and elevated above the main road. Fairly basic 70’s knocked-through interior, some faded red fabric banquettes and carpet. My drinking companion said it reminded him somewhat of a Working Man’s club. Fairly busy inside. Loud Beatles back-catalogue rattling through the speakers from the jukey. Pool table to far left end. Tiling in the gents was of the magic eye variety, one to send an already spinny head even further into confusion. Biologists will enjoy the congealed life form that was evolving from the main cold water pipe join. Two pumps at the bar, just Bass available which in fairness was in pretty impressive nick.
