Nice friendy barmaid made all the diffrence to what is a basic micro above a shop.Good keg only selection and my two from Floc and Cloudwater were very good.They do thirds which is always a plus in a craft beer bar.

There's a craft beer bar above the shop now. Eight beers on tap - a pretty good selection and sensible prices (mix of range and styles, including Belgian and Dutch beers). Still feels very new and finding its feet.

The Grumpy Goat is an "artisan" cheese,beer and spirits shop/cafe situated in a narrow,retail alleyway. It now has an upstairs craft bar that also doubles up as cafe seating and all of the shops products can be enjoyed here. The room is small with a total of five tables including a small raised area at the street end of the bar with some plyboard benching complete with cushions. As Quinno points out there are eight keg taps and all were in use with a good range of beers though many were getting highish up the ABV scale there were a couple of lower options.
Big Drop Paradiso Citra IPA 0.5%, Wiper & True Milk Shake 5.6%, Burnt Mill Beyond the Firs Gluten Free 4.8% , LHG New Best Friend 6.7%, Double Barrelled The Big Fruit Heist 6.0% Brouwerj Kees Keyboard Warrior 7.0%,Pastore Aranicata Rossa 2.5% and FrauGruber Pils 4.8%.
A decent place to drop by for a snack and a beer and maybe something here for the beer tickers, nothing though to satisfy the traditionalists. I'm sure I'll be popping in again.
