Brainy Pool left this review about Carnival Brewery Tap

Carnival are a growing force on the Liverpool beer scene and you can find their full range here including a couple of cask which I almost missed! As a drinking experience it’s in a different league to Azvex. More intimate with a range of seating and proper background music - Manics, Ash, Blur etc. No outside seating here but there is an Indian street food van. The lads behind the bar were good value, both resembling comedy potheads from an American teen comedy. I can see this one getting very lively when Everton fans discover it next year, especially if they get on the 12% imperial stout. I just hope they’re not tempted by the indoor axe throwing across the road afterwards…

The 2nd of the brewery taprooms on this small industrial estate. The layout is identical to Azvex over the road in that it is set in a warehouse. Up to 12 keg ales on and no change from the list noted below. Outside Fold away benches and tables to sit at if the weather is ok. Carnival do do cask ales but none seem to be here sadly. Its not too bad a place but a couple of real ales would've been nice.

I'm surprised nobody has added this brewery tap to the site before. We first visited here on a cold day in January, 2020, not long after it had opened.

Similar to the Azvex Brewery Tap diagonally opposite, its a brewery set in a warehouse.

On our previous winter visit, the shutters were closed and it all felt like a very confined space. On this summer visit, it felt a little larger. Although the brewing equipment takes up the vast majority of the space, giving much less seating than Azvex across the road.

The all keg selection from Carnival was Pash Pash Pashion, Happy Cowshake Lemon Meringue IPA, Carmen, Maple Swoon, One O'Clock Pale, Urban Shaker, By The River, Ribbons of Distinction - Cascade Pale, West Coast Slice, Vyshyvanka Golden Ale & Dreaming Of Twinships.

There was also a Sandford Orchards Devon Red cider.

A decent enough place that can be combined with the Azvex Brewery & Taproom. I'm sure we'll be back soon.
