Old Boots left this review about The Wheatsheaf

Multi space village pub, confusingly so with odd walls here and there where original rooms have been truncated. The counter is in one corner or other and has three pulls; Greene King IPA, Old Speckled Hen and a GK seasonal called Hopportunity. There’s also a selection of kegs and the usual wines and spirits. IPA certainly seems to have had a recipe tweek as it’s nowhere as objectionable as previously. My IPA was fine, not outstanding but silk purse, sows ear and all that. The pub is mostly a restaurant as most country pubs are these days, service although slightly chaotic is very restaurant in style and the mix of brown and distressed wood furniture is classic square dining in various configurations, there are reserved signs but no permanent place settings. Decor is roughly country pub with horse brasses and tackle, a few seaside pictures and brewery mirrors, there’s a big telly in one corner seemingly out of place as is the constant music. The pleasant garden has a wooden smoking shelter.
