The new(ish) sister pub to the original in Windsor. Big sister in this case with all the Insta bling, being situated at the base of a brand-new block of yuppie flats not far from the football ground. You can guess the drill, décor-wise- white painted breeze blocks, full length plate windows, exposed ducting, wire lights, high tables. Three cask plus a sizeable number of craftykeg, cider and canned options. I went for the Stardust Bitter (NBSS 3) and Disruption Chaos (3.5), served-up by polite staff. Lacks the scruffy charm of the Windsor branch but in a town as starved of options as Maidenhead, this is guaranteed to do well and I’ll almost certainly be back there again before too long.

A rather splendid craft beer bar, reasonably roomy with a reverse C shape layout. A mix of comfortable seating throughout. Four handpumps on the bar with a choice of three on my visit, Stardust Bitter, Siren Broken Dream and Brass Castle Fat Rascal, the Siren and Brass Castle beers both being in excellent condition. On keg a choice of 14 craft beers, I tried Anspach & Hobday Pfeffernusse Stout and Lovibonds 69 IPA, again both excellent. There was also a choice of four different Ciders from Tutts Clump. The bar staff were efficient and knew their stuff about beer which can be a help with this amount of choice, on top of the bar choice there is also six or seven fridges full of bottles and cans to extend the choice further. All in all a top spot and finally something worth stopping off in Maidenhead for.
