The cafe has gone and this is now a micropub. Whilst it's still long and thin there's no food ordering counter to the rear. 4 handpumps on the bar with one from Wilde Child and 3 from Salamander (apparently they got a deal from them). My pint of Salamander Morning Glory was in good nick as was Ms CAMRAs half of Golden Salamander. The chatty barman is the son of the people who own the Ref & Whistle. Quite liked it in here and would certainly call in next time.

Very much a cafe rather than cafe bar, there are two pulls of local beers, Wharfedale and Lamb today and nicely kept. Keg drinkers can choose from Madri lager or a couple of ciders. There are cans as well. Handily it’s directly opposite Soundbar and close to the Beer Engine, Boathouse and Early Doors as well as the bus station. Next to the pulls are trays and stands of cakes, apparently Turkish in origin. There’s a collection of gins and other spirits. Long and thinnish; each side has tables and chairs cafe style and there’s a food ordering counter at the back. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
