Real Ale Ray left this review about Modern Day Monks

This small Brewery Tap consisted of a ground floor brewing area, with an upstairs bar. The bar area had dark painted walls, some bench seating along the left hand side and a drinking ledge along down the right. The bar area was very small over in the left hand corner, which hosted two handpumps and three keg taps on a timber cladded wall behind. No cask ale on our visit and the barman explained that they stopped serving it as no one was drinking it and the younger crowd were all going for the Craft beers. Their craft Session Pale was good at £3.90 a pint. We did manage to get one of their cask ales later on in the Lower Angel pub.
