Will Larter left this review about Sheriff Of Tamworth

Well described in the review below, with three hand pumps all in action at the time of my visit, and plenty of keg beers and Belgian bottles available too. All the cask beers were a bit on the strong side for me, especially after having a 5% lager in the previous pub. I went for the lowest, Wye Valley Samba 4.4%, which was ok but a bit sweet and perfumey for my taste. The young man behind the bar was very welcoming, helpful and engaging. At £3.50 a pint my beer was the cheapest of the day in Tamworth, with the sole exception of my last one before my train, in the Phoenix.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Sheriff Of Tamworth

New(ish) 'ale & cider House' in a fine old building (although the plain white paintwork on the facade looks slightly austere). Two main rooms inside, quite a traditional bar to the right-hand side of the central entrance, with a plainer seating area to the left (not helped by the low lighting level and battleship grey walls). With two of the three handpumps in use, I found Wye Valley's Hopfather (£3.50) and Vicars Ruin from Church End on, and Purity Mad Goose coming next.
