Will Larter left this review about The Clarendon (The Clarry)

I had previously passed this pub many times on my way to or from the nearby stadium, but it was always full to bursting with either Hull City or Hull FC supporters, depending on whether I was following Luton Town or Leeds Rhinos at the time. Seeing that I was on my way to the station for my train home on a Sunday after games on both Friday and Saturday, the Clarry was sure to be fairly quiet, so I had decided to call in, leaving my bicycle securely tied up opposite. This is a two room suburban pub, with the room on the left called Zorba's Club, seemingly some sort of Greek food joint, with takeaways. On the right is a larger room, probably originally two rooms, with pool table, two darts boards and no real ale. They did have smooth version of Theakstons keg beers: Pale, Best and Dark. I went for the dark mild, which was ok. Service was fairly friendly, and I quite liked it here. The nature of the trade, one day busy, another day dead, must make it easy to decide not to try to keep real ales, I guess.
