Steve C left this review about The Talbot

The Talbot is an inviting looking backstreet pub that looks like a proper little boozer at the end of a cul-de-sac. It was popular with trades who were in just after work chucking out time on a recent Thursday afternoon. A central bar counter serves a public bar to the right that houses banquettes around the front window and a pool table towards the rear. There were a couple of small children in here so I decided to go into the left-hand bar, where I found all of the locals. There is black and white tiling around the bar counter that faces an exposed brick fireplace that sits midway up the left-hand wall, bookended by banquette seating with tables on blue tartan carpet. There were some toys on the floor so I think a pub dog was hiding somewhere, maybe out the back where there’s a decked seating area. There’s a jukebox and muted horse racing was on the television. This is a decent little local, but the options of standard keg and Birra Moretti are not exactly a big draw.
