Blackthorn _ left this review about Left Handed Giant Tap Room

One of a couple of brewery taps on this trading estate and several in the wider area, this used to be located around the corner in the premises now occupied by Newton Park Brewing but has since relocated to these larger premises. We visited as part of the East Bristol Brewery Trail, and although the tap room is open at other times, the range of beers and facilities that we found may be greater than is usually the case.

It's one single room internally, and is quite industrial in appearance as might be expected, with concrete screed on the floor, corrugated iron roofing and walls, stainless steel brewing vessels off to the right and racks of wooden barrels behind this. There is though a large and colourful mural above the bar counter which was itself clad in slatted wooden panels, a ‘fridge full of cans and a merchandise wall with tee shirts and baseball caps for sale. Further colourful artwork is on part of the walls and some of the tanks. Seating consisted of multiple picnic benches in the yard outside, which may only be there because of the brewery trail. Inside the seating options were limited to a couple of tables just inside the entrance doorway.

A number of cask and keg options were available, and these were all chalked up on a blackboard behind the bar. Cask options on this occasion were Pale (that is apparently the name, not just a description), Mosaic & Centennial, Hazy Pale, Crashing Clouds and one other but my view of that was obscured so did not note the name. There were no ciders available unfortunately, and I wasn’t keen on the beer that I had. Beer is not my area of expertise, but I’ve never enjoyed anything that I’ve had from this brewery, and my companions concurred. That is of course, just personal taste though.
