The Winter experience here isn’t quite as pleasant as that described below. The small area set aside for benches feels a bit oppressive, with the steel roller doors closed, and we found the bar staff less than welcoming, the barman seeming a bit put out that we’d interrupted his conversation with his mate, the latter being the only person standing at the bar. Opening hours are now extended to Friday evenings. The customers seemed mainly to be locals, there was a selection of board games available, but there was no real pub atmosphere and we didn’t hang around. I had a pint of Big City, their premium IPA, which was OK but nothing special. I don’t see my rushing back.

A fairly typical new brewery tap in an industrial unit with half a dozen keg taps on the cool room wall, a movable counter and a few festival type benches by the side of the fermenters. There is also a small alcove with stools and the car park offers an outdoors area in decent weather. At time of writing it is only open on Saturday afternoons, with mostly their own brews available although it is not clear which are on keg, keykeg or whatever. There are also occasional swaps with other breweries and a couple of boxed ciders. With the brews being available for off-sales, one thing to watch for is getting stuck behind a customer with a large order being prepared.
