A new café bar which serves as the explosion Museum café as well as the Powder Monkey Brewery tap. It’s housed in a former ordnance depot shed, has a new extension at one end and has a small paved outside area at the side which gives great views out across Portsmouth Harbour. The bar is made from an old boat, while some of the tables are fashioned out of large barrels. Powder Monkey doesn’t appear to do cask ales, just craft, so I opted for one of the 2 guest beers, Loxhill Biscuit from Crafty Brewing. The other option was Good Old Boy from West Berkshire. The beer was in excellent condition and not that expensive. Well worth a visit.
