Bucking Fastard left this review about Postino Lounge

Converted from a post office, hence the name,I used this building a lot when I used to work in WGC.It has an austere frontage, but tables run down the pavement side of the building. You enter into a low ceiling area with modern hanging lights into a cosy area extending to the rear. However the main bar room to the right has a very high ceiling with exposed concrete which creates an echoing affect and thereby very indestinct muzak, which is contemporary and consequently a bit of a dirge.
The Loungers chain has expanded fast ,and this will be popular with ladies who lunch, coffee drinkers and folk looking for chain type food, but for me it's all a bit depressing.
Furniture is mixed and old fashioned, tables are well spaced and there is a metal staircase to the loos and an overflow area with a pleasing parquet floor. The long bar serves no real ale, three standard keg lagers together with BrewDog Dead Pony Club and Punk IPA (the best option ,£5.15 the pint). There is a short bottled beer list with the only good option Bristol Beer Factory Milk Stout. The wine list seems expensive while the food starts around £8 and again looks pricey, although there is a large choice.
Not a place for a session, maybe ok for a quick pint of fizz but disappointing given the dirth of decent places to drink in WGC.Can't see any reason to return, although it will please it's target audience.
