A 1970s estate pub on a large roadside plot. It’s very much a community pub, with live music and gatherings to watch sports matches on the multiple TV screens. There is a fair amount of parking at the pub, though it would be easy to part nearby if busy. The garden is reasonably large too, though it’s a bit drab and uninspiring, a shame given the pub’s name. The greeting was friendly enough though some of the locals looked unimpressed with our interloping. There is pool, darts and a jukebox, the décor is neutral, and there is nothing special to mention. No real ale, and nothing decent in bottles – a rather poor show from that point of view. I don’t see any reason to return.
