This industrial unit uphill from the quayside houses the Flash House brewery.

You enter down a short set of steps and there are several tables scattered around with a bar at the corner. The brewery equipment itself is also at the rear.

Menus on each table list their beers. 2 cask ales were supplemented by a number of keg beers. The craft ales were Tommy T and the intriguing Poached Pear and Red Wine Stout. I sampled the latter, which was ok. But I'm not convinced that the combination works.

An interesting place that was a welcome addition to my North Shields visit.
