The Red House is a micropub located at the end of a street of terraced houses. It is a small, single room place with limited opening hours (currently 5-10 Thu-Sun).
Just the 3 ales are sold. These were Consett Ale Works Steeltown Bitter, Durham Pacific Fusion & Hadrian Border Tyneside Blonde.
My Steeltown Bitter was enjoyable, whilst the owner and the locals were a friendly bunch.
A bit off the beaten track. But a good find.
