A relatively new cellar bar with an outside seating area to the side. The seating area is dominated by a large wooden statue of a pirate. The bar is basically furnished, and while it claims to be a micropub in its literature, there is no real ale so I think it falls short of that epithet. The best on offer was ‘craft’ Shed Head, overpriced and too chilled. The staff were pleasant though. It doesn’t open lunchtimes, and it hasn’t really got much to set it above the nearby pubs, so I’m not sure why I should want to re-visit, especially as dogs are not allowed in. Not particularly uplifting.
