Small bar run by the eponymous Hull brewer, very much the craft bar with old metal furniture and a blank look. The counter is at one end of the long thin room, 12 taps on the back wall, two are for boil in the bag type cask the others are keg of whatever format with mostly Atom beers but there were three guest kegs on during my visit, from Vault City, Yonder and North. Brass Castle and Neepsend beers as the cask choice. There’s more seating upstairs. There are two entrances, a front one on New Walkergate, the other, the one they prefer you to use, through a gate at the end of the building.

A very clean, modern bar with little in the way of character and soft colours throughout. There are lots of keg taps on the bar back, but only 1 cask ale and strangely this was Northern Monk Eternal rather than an Atom beer. Friendly staff and customers, but it's all a bit anodyne, although my pint was in good nick.

As the name would suggest, Atom is a new bar owned by the Hull brewery. Currently due to open in early April.
