Reasonably new micropub in an area of Liverpool with little else to offer drinkers other than the local branch of Wetherspoon's.

There is a single room with seating at the front and the bar on a raised area to the rear right-hand side where the room narrows, with toilets beyond that.

On arrival, there was just one other customer and the barman/owner. Music was playing, but was being drowned out by noise from the other customer's mobile phone, which was extremely annoying.

5 real ales were on offer. A house beer (Jaxon's Pale Ale) was available from Twisted Wheel, alongside their Echo. The other 3 ales were all from Chapter - Kandata, Pemberley & Temos Tanta. The real cider was Lilley's Darksider and the craft beer was First Chop Jam Mango Pale. Lilley's Mango Cider was also available on keg.

I chose the Pemberley, which didn't seem in the best of conditions, which tasted more like chemicals than a stout.

Slightly disappointing by micropub standards, but better than anything else this area has to offer.

This micro pub was formerly a joke shop named the Wizards Den. The interior consisted of a front and rear exterior seating area, with a good sized front room, raised mid bar area and a back room along with a dartboard. Four ales on handpump, Twisted Wheel Wounded Skies Above, Two from 4T's Warrington Special and Raging Bitter. The fourth choice was Lancaster Brewery Chinook. The friendly barman let me taste all the beers, which all looked quite tired and found the Twisted Wheel about the best, but didn't warrant a second pint.

Very good micro. The servery is situated in the middle of the place with a small drinking area at the front and a smaller area at the back. Large oak barrels are used as tables. 4 handpulls on the bar with beers from Rock The Boat, Team Toxic, Liverpool Brew Co and Vocation on today and all reasonably priced. Team Toxic Cherry and Blueberry Cheesecacke Ipa was very nice despite the purpleness of the pint. Out the way from the City Centre but worth a visit if you're in the area.
