Komakino . left this review about The Anchor

This two-roomer is a little out of the town centre and is divided into Public /Dining and Games Room, both served by a bar intersected by a wall. Dartboard, pool table, TV screens and DJ booth in the bare-boarded Games Room along with garish velvet upholstered chairs. The Public Bar is spacious in a primarily "vertical drinking only" way, along with a raised bit which is presumably a dining area, but no menus were to be seen. The Public Bar had a Sharp's Doom Bar clip reversed which was the only sign of an ale that I could see. Open all day, this was predictably dead on a weekday lunchtime, bar two other punters drinking Foster's. A young barmaid was busy scrubbing a door in the Games Room whilst the jukebox played a random selection of songs (Kraftwerk, U2, plus a couple of more modern selections). A little tired around the edges, it's definitely one for the conpletists.
