Small micropub in Cotteridge that was closed as I went past on the bus slightly earlier in the afternoon. However, returning after 3pm opening, I found the pub open and I was the first customer of the afternoon. However, I was soon joined by another group of blokes who had arrived from Edgbaston cricket club having seen rain stopping play after one ball bowled! All of us were sat downstairs, but there is further seating space upstairs.

I've been looking forward to visiting this place, but was a little disappointed to find just one solitary real ale. This was Birmingham Single Brummie Citra IPA. There are however 2 ciders and a perry from Hogan's - Harvest Press, Panking Pole & Lonely Partridge. Craft beers are Infinity Fleu Du Jour & Momentum, Birmingham/Always Balling Iron Brew Sour, Attic Eclipse & Black Iris Endless Summer.

Music was playing, which I'm not too keen on in a micropub. Dogs are welcome. In fact, there was a noticeable smell of dogs as I walked in. My Single Brummie Citra was enjoyable, but I'm not sure this pub justifies the trip out from Birmingham city centre.

Good Beer Guide 2023 Micro Pub. Classic, small downstairs with mismatched furniture. Stairs leading to (hopefully) the loo and more seating. Bar at far end constructed from scaffold.

Just the one cask on during my visit but I think more were being pulled through. Plenty of keg. No health and safety namby pamby here. Delirium Red for £6.70 a pint.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Redbeer'd

Slightly split-level micro-pub in a narrow shop unit with just two tables in the lower part and a couple of large wooden casks with tall stools up by the narrow counter. However, there is also another room with more seating upstairs. Local real ales feature on the pair of handpumps, although only Elephant Riders from Fownes (£4.20) on at the time of my visit as the other line was being changed over. Diverse selection of craft beers available from eight keg taps on the bar-back, including the regular 8% Delirium Red. Overall, I enjoyed my brief visit, talking to the friendly chap behind the bar.

Nice little micropub with 2 Fownes beers on cask - Elephant Riders pale ale and Korvaks Ascension porter. I went for the pale ale which was excellent. Also a good choice from 8 keg taps plus 5 ciders on. Well worth a visit. Card only.

Very much a work in progress on our visit, so I'll most probably add an update after a later visit. This former bridal shop consists of a decent sized ground floor with the bar area positioned along the back wall. There was a counter, but no back bar and the beer was cooled with bags of ice, with no handpumps as of yet. There was a red painted feature wall downstairs and upstairs. The main room had some drinking shelves down the left hand wall with some bar stools. A settee and some upturned barrels added some drinking space.
Four cask ales on our visit, Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild, plus three from Fownes, UGA, which stands for Upper Gournal Ale, Stout and a IPA.

Been to this recently opened microbar a few times now close to Kings Norton railway station and a start to the Cotteridge and Stirchley pub scene. 4 cask ales and up to 10 keg taps available. Staff friendly and know their beer. Seating for around 12 but a few more upstairs where the toilet is located. Cash only.
