Steve C left this review about The Jam Works

Jam Works is a small single roomed open plan bar with bar stool lined beer shelves along the front windows either side of the central entrance. The shelves continue up the right wall and the left to the bar counter in the left rear corner. In the front left are a couple of high tables and there’s some seating in the centre of the room. The televisions were all off as some Reggae vibe background music played. There is an advertised cocktail lounge that I didn’t visit. Cask is not longer available. I found the service to be polite, but this isn’t my sort of place so I’ll not be revisiting.

Visited last Thursday afternoon. Five hand pulls at the bar offering two beers by Bad Co, two by Seven Brothers and the final one had Titanic Plum Porter. Service was friendly and my Seven Brothers Oatmeal Stout was a good drink in decent nick.

There are several sports screens dotted around the place and two sets of keg taps but I couldn't see what they had on. Despite initially being the only customer in, there was a nice relaxed vibe during the day, music was playing, and I enjoyed my visit here.

Mainly high seating with a couple of low tables and a sofa.

ROB Camra left this review about The Jam Works

A brand new opening and what a complete mess it is. Mainly black walls with cartoons all over them. 3 huge TV's playing music videos on mute, whilst something else was playing in the bar. Clueless bar staff who spent most of their time arguing with each other. They claim they do a 10% CAMRA discount, neither of the clueless ones knew anything about it and said there was no option on the till. Five handpumps with three beers available. Doom Bore plus two rugby themed beers, Facers Don't Give A Ruck was poorly kept. It's not a great atmosphere in here and there's the feeling that it could kick off at any time. The fact that they sell cask ale, even though it wasn't good is the only thing that's saving them from the score of shame.
