Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Tap And Can

Part micro-pub, part craft beer bar and part bottle (or rather tin) shop. Narrow, two-part rectangular interior with canteen-style furniture and quite subdued lighting. With two of the four handpumps in use, I found North Riding's Nelson Sauvin (£4.80) and Mixtape - Volume 9 from Fyne Ales being served, together with nine beers of various styles on the keg taps.

Pretty busy on my early Saturday evening visit , 10 crafty keg taps and 3 of the 4 handpulls on , my pint of Burning Sky - Day by Day was spot on , lots of craft beers in cans and bottles available in a variety of styles only matched by the variety of beards on show from the locals . The back wall of the Gents is actually part of the Castle Foundations but the OSB board covered walls on the other 3 sides remind me of my old shed .
I liked it here and i can see it being a regular haunt for me when in town

As noted, this is on the large side for a micro as it stretches back a bit to the bar at the rear. The thin front part opens out slightly at the rear. 4 handpulls but only 2 in use on this visit with two pale ales on - Ludlow Stairway and Rivington Clouded Eyes. A pleasant place and extremely handy for the station. Keg and cans/bottles available too.

This place opened a few weeks before Xmas last year. It's part micropub, part craft bar and to a lesser degree an off licence. It's a long narrow room with the bar counter at the rear. It's a decent size and furnishings are mainly trestle tables but there are a few normal tables and chairs. There was a music track playing.
The four hand pumps on my visit had Fixed Wheel Wheelie Pale, Mad Squirrel Big Sea, Thornbridge Made North and Arbor C Bomb. I went for the Wheelie Pale (£3.30) and C Bomb (£4.10) which were excellent. I also tried the keg Little Critters Nutty Ambassador (£6.00) and on a later flying visit before a train Fernandes Black Voodoo Stout (£4.10). These were also excellent.
The cans and bottles here are for drinking in or out but I didn't look into them.
This is probably the best of the several pubs around Shrewsbury Station. My only reservation is that (Wheelie Pale apart) the prices are a bit steep. I'll be back and it gets a strong 9.

A good sized micropub that is very close to the Railway Station. This micro certainly ticked all the boxes and l really can't fault the place. Four ales on handpump, Vocation Heart and Soul, Dancing Duck Donald *UCK, Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild and Bristol Beer Factory Milk Stout. I went for the Vocation and the Milk Stout, both of which were outstanding. There was also a choice of seven craft keg and a good selection of canned and bottled beers. Well worth a visit.
