ROB Camra left this review about Hustle

A small bar rather than a micropub with loads of keg beers available alongside several cocktail mixer things that I don't have enough experience with to make any comments. One long thin room downstairs with a door on High Street and also on Sheep Street. There's another room upstairs that we didn't visit. Definitely dog friendly as the barmaids springer spaniel was bouncing around the place as springers do. Two handpumps serving Goose Eye beers which are not one of my favourite breweries, but the Chinook was in good nick. We'd call in again next time, but maybe a bit later in the day when there's some atmosphere.

A name change and I think a new owner but it’s much the same as before, just two cask beers from Goose Eye, plus a T-Bar and solos.

Slightly late posting this review from the summer between lockdowns, so please see below for a more recent and more positive review from Old Boots. When I called in there were three beers on, two from Daleside and one from Naylors. The former's Old Leg Over proved to be hazy, but drinkable, and the latter's Porter had a mustiness about it that I'm pretty sure the brewer would not have intended. My notes made at the time mentioned that the two doors, one front and one back, provided ample through draughts, so perhaps excusing the total lack of provision for or enforcement of the Covid-19 precautions that were meant to have been in place at that time. So rather than start a row I just drank up and went elsewhere.

Micro as in small rather than the full Kentish dogma, long and thin with doors onto High St in front and Sheep St behind. Counter to one side and seating down the other side plus a window table at each end, there’s also more seating upstairs. Three pulls, two Bradfield Farmers this and that and an IPA from Pennine, neither are favourite breweries of mine but my Farmers Blonde was well conditioned and drinkable, not actively unpleasant. There’s two four way T-Bars of more interesting kegs and a four tap Smirnoff cocktail dispenser, lots of gin and more spirits behind the counter. Friendly in the way micros usually are, but the piped music is intrusive and half. Dog friendly.

A new, small bar which opened on the 7th December. A range of cask ales is available, plus, kegs from Brooklyn. There appears to be some sort of partnership with Ossett Brewery.
