Set back from the pavement down a courtyard entrance, this one claims to be the oldest pub in Teignmouth and certainly the rear area to the right inside looked aged (it certainly smelt like it). Interior is multi area'd and quite dark with much exposed stonework and a wood burning stove. Rear patio garden with a faint harbourside view. Decent set of punter entertainment options; Sky sports, two dartboards and local papers. Very nice toilets. Four ales, Hop Back Summer Lightning (good), Old Hooky, Dartmoor Jail Ale and Doom Bar. Decent outlet, worth a visit if in the town.

Steve C left this review about Ye Olde Jolly Sailor Inn

Ye Olde Jolly Sailor is set back from the main drag by a front car park that has been turned into a beer garden. Inside the pub there is some seating to the left of the entrance and the bar is located beyond on the left hand wall. There is more seating to the right where a pool table and dartboard can also be found. Out the back there are a couple of picnic tables that afford views of a small stretch of beach that some small boats had been pushed up onto for the night.
Standard draught is available from the bar and I noted two hand pumps that were drawing Bass and Doom Bar. Pub food was advertised, but I didn’t see any menus or prices.

I’d have no problem returning here.

QI: Apparently this is Teignmouth’s oldest pub and in some form or another it has been serving alcohol to the locals since the 12th century.
