A fairly mundane modern cafe bar, which has branched out a bit by establishing an 'escape room' in the basement. Furnished with several large and a couple of small benched tables, plus a random sofa, with a counter at the back dispensing various forms of coffee and cake, with a small clutch of keg taps of usual mainstream fizzy stuff and a couple of expensive Beavertowns. The handpumps seem to be long gone. Not a lot of point to the place, unless it's raining while you are waiting for a bus.

One main room with the bar to the rear. Three hand pumps including Owd Roger which I, of course, hd. Also had Leffe on tap. Worth a revisit.

Yet another cafe selling beer, you don’t need to buy food but who wants to drink in some old caf’? Three pulls on the counter mind, although the two beers being sold were some dreadful Marstons pants, 61 Deep and Hobgoblin Gold, pretty poor condition too. A slightly better keg choice from 10 on an horseshoe but only just. Heavy iron and thick wood forms and tables, leather clad bench seating to one side and a sofa and some tall stools provide the furnishing. The decor is pictures of York landmarks attacked by aliens or in one case a large rubber duck, ffs. Bogs in cellar although the gents is trying to hide.
