Funny little place that is grafted onto the side of a music shop. It’s an upmarket post-industrial feel crafty micro which I guess complements the Newhall. Of interest is the bulb-heavy CANNOCK sign above the servery and the Jack Torrance decal on the gents door. GBG listed with two cask, though I went keg via Dark Choc Ginger Biscuit by Yonder Brewing which was a nice drink, though the person whose round it was had a twitchy sphincter when the price was revealed as it’s a bit expensive for the area. That extends to the cobs, which were 3 quid. I thought this was a decent little place, though my travelling companions were less keen.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Arcade

Alehouse-style live music pub with an attached music shop. Relatively compact bar at the front, but with another seating area and presumably a venue beyond (although I didn't have time to explore). Thankfully, unlike so many places in the area, real ale was offered in the form of Salopian Hop Twister and Brew York Fennec Blonde (curiously priced at £3.24, which turned out to be the result of a 5% Thursday night discount).

A white rendered Victorian build with rear patio area. The whole ground floor was once given over to a music shop, but was split a few years back to create a loosely defined micropub. The micropub has three open areas: the first, with the serving bar, is a traditional feel - brick and wood - area, with a few board games dotted about; the middle area is more modern and the rear has grey painted wood panel. A few local pictures are on the walls, but it is a bit spartan. No TV but music plays at a decent level. Service is always fine and it attracts a mixed crowd. It is more a craft bar, with around 10 beers and ciders, and a proper lager - but there are 3 pulls with usually two on, however, just the one last night a decent enough Isaac Walton Brewery Red Eye Bass. Always a nice trip here.

The Arcade is a music shop which has now been split into 2 so it is now half music shop half micro bar.
