Graham Coombs left this review about Market Hall

All as described below, with rows of long tables between assorted food stalls with a bar on each level. The beers are mainly produced for them but seemed fairly flavourless and certainly not worth the premium prices. The place did have considerable atmosphere however and was pretty well packed most of the evening.

E TA left this review about Market Hall

As described below, it’s a bar forming part of the roadkill complex that keeps tourists and students unhungry at unreasonable prices. No real ale, but a selection of craft beers – Market Helles Lager from Harbour Brewing, Thirsty Cross cider, Forest Road Posh, Fable Pale Ale and Thorrnbridge Green Mountain. Fine for an expensive trendy beer on the way to the station, but not somewhere to spend an evening.

This is not a pub in the conventional sense, but a large building spread over three floors that consists of a number of street food style vendors as well as a bar on each floor. The overall style is fairly rustic with much exposed brickwork and so on, and large tables with bench seating.

The prime spot in the warmer weather is certainly the rooftop terrace which was a bit of a sun trap and full to capacity on our recent Friday afternoon visit. This had decking style boards on the floor, glass panels around the perimeter to make the most of the views of the coach station, and duck egg blue wood panelling. A partition at one end had been covered with a plastic hedge, and there was an open bar here as well to avoid having to go inside the building for a pint.

Unfortunately there were no real ales on tap, at least not at the rooftop bar, but none elsewhere either as far as I could make out. They did though have Thistly Cross Traditional cider which went down well. Overall, a pleasant enough spot and certainly handy if you want to grab a bite to eat, but it’s not going to be a venue of choice for the pub connoisseur.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Market Hall

Street-food type food outlets and communal seating areas at ground and first-floor levels, with a good roof terrace above overlooking Victoria Station. Well served by having a bar at each level, although it is disappointing not to find any real ale available, so I went for the Thornbridge Green Mountain Hazy Vermont Session IPA (£5.50) from a reasonable range of craft keg offerings (with quite a few from harbour Brewing in Cornwall).
