Brewey tap. Usual set-up of bench seating in the brewery itself, though having rugby on the telly was a minor surprise. Three cask on stillage, five keg beers and a range of cans. They had a guest that I plumped for to start, Newtown's Spithead Stout (NBSS 3.5). The wheels fell off when I tried their own brews – the Tradical was a murky listless mess (NBSS 0.5) whilst the Hole Hearted was really syrupy (NBSS 1.5) and I couldn’t finish either. Production problems here? The beer of theirs I had at the West Street Alehouse wasn't much cop either but the folks there had got a tune out of it, at least.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Fallen Acorn Brewery Taproom

Small taproom, but more seating available at trestle tables in the brew-shed (and out in the yard if the weather is good). Two cask beers on gravity, including the Fake News American brown ale (£3.00) when I visited, plus four craft keg offerings. One for a quick stop rather than a session.

The Brewery tap is a simple single room in the modern industrial unit. There is a solitary toilet, no food, just beer. The bar has a small wooden counter, a rack of large beer bottles and various certificates and citations around the walls. The bar furniture consists of a large wooden cable drum on its side used as a table and seats made from old aluminium beer barrels. There is a large window through which you can see the brewery working and the ales for the bar on stillage. I had the first pint of Texas Red from a newly tapped barrel, which was of course in perfect condition. I had a chat with one of the staff who was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Well worth finding for its beer, but check the website for opening times before you travel.
