Blackthorn _ left this review about Gosha’s House

A recent addition to the popular King Street strip, this is more of a bar/restaurant than your regular pub and apparently specialises in Polish food, although the bar operates considerably longer opening hours than the restaurant, and it appeared that most punters were just drinking on our recent Saturday evening visit. There is also a limited amount of pavement seating for the warmer weather.

Internally it’s an L-shape room being relatively narrow at the front but opening up and extending on around the back of the bar counter. It’s got a fairly rustic feel with rough wooden boards on the floor and whitewashed stonework to the left. Elsewhere the paintwork was a pale shade of yellow, with light blue boards affixed to the wall behind the bar counter, and the shelving here housed an extensive spirits selection. One or two art pieces were displayed on the wall and were for sale.

Unfortunately there were no cask ales available, but there were a few keg options from Bristol Beer Factory including Southville Hop, Independence and Milk Stout. The solitary cider was also from BBF with their North Street. Overall, I thought it had a chilled out and relaxed vibe, although it is of course unlikely to appeal to the pub aficionado due to the lack of any real ales, especially with so many other options in the nearby vicinity.
