A micro-ish pub, although music and a table football miss the strict criteria. The building is rather spartan, with a rough concrete floor and painted concrete walls, mainly equipped with benches or canteen-style chairs apart from a couple of random armchairs. There are also some seats with barrel tables on the pavement outside. The bar counter on the right features a couple of handpumps and half a dozen craft keg taps (including some Key-kegs, judging from the empties). The cask ales on this visit were Crooked Killing Me Softly chocolate stout and Wilde Child Voodoo Child. There is the obligatory beer fridge also. Good enough for sampling some interesting beers, although it seems a little strange locating it close to two other reasonable pubs when there are lots of beer deserts which could be filled.

Classic shop conversion, too large to be a micro although that’s the vibe. Long and not that narrow, the counter is sideways on halfway down one side. Refectory tables with fixed benches take up half the other side and there’s conventional tables and mixed chairs elsewhere. The tables are candle powered with tall candles in empty gin bottles. Concrete floor and green walls, bare apart from some framed posters advertising non specific beers. Two hand pulls with beers from nearby Crooked brewery, only one on for my visit, the majority of the drinks are kegs from various taps and breweries, or come from a bottle or tin. Pump clips and Edison lamps complete the decor although there are kegs here and there which might be empties or decor. Located on the Green and handy for bus stops.
