Kore a bit of a strange one with exposed red Manchester brick throughout and a large steel counter that is used to create cocktails on the left-hand wall. A couple of steps lead up to the rear of the bar counter where there are four premium keg fonts and two hand pumps. Only one pump was in operation drawing Hophurst Brewery’s Quench which is a session beer that was on good form. High tables are found up the right from the front windows to the rear. Upstairs is a mezzanine level of seating that overlook the front of the bar and the front windows. There was some background music that ranged from Madonna to modern dance music. I was actually surprised to be one of only two customers during a recent Thursday evening visit, although I got the feeling that this place is open until late so maybe my visit was a bit early. The service was very friendly, but this isn’t really my sort of place so I don’t plan on returning.

A small bar on the main street through Hindley, converted from a shop. It's all bare brick and is a bit industrial looking. The bar is on the left and is split into two. The bottom half is for cocktails etc and the top bit has 3 handpumps. You cannot order cocktails at the top bit. What a good idea, it stops the "up themselves" after work brigade getting in the way of the serious drinkers. Two of the handpumps were serving ales from Stuart at North Riding and were both in good condition, the other pump had a beer from Hophurst on it. Busy and buzzy at 6 on a Friday with friendly and chatty barmaids. I really liked this one.
