Real Ale Ray left this review about The Arch Rivals

We popped in here on Saturday lunchtime and we were greeted by the young manager, who was friendly and helpful. There was only one ale on handpump Wye Valley HPA at the time of our visit and another ale was due to go on shortly. There was a cider on handpump, which was Arch Rivals Starman, a medium dry still cider, plus three craft beers on tap. The bar also had an extensive range of craft beer in cans found in fridges behind the bar.

The Arch Rivals was our second stop along this stretch of railway arches. The pub itself is located under one arch. As others have said, it has music memorabilia on the walls. But they also had a second bare arch with seating, as well as further seating in the passage.

Just 2 ales were on - Wye Valley HPA & Hartlebury Rock 'n' Roll Star. There was no real cider. I was hoping for a little more from this place. But it's worth a try.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Arch Rivals

One of several bars, coffee shops and restaurants under the railway arches, this one is a bit hidden away down an alleyway so is unlikely to be encountered by chance... Anyway, it is larger than one might expect and the interior of the structure is mostly covered over and squared off, apart from the counter at the far end. Sparsely furnished, with rock'n'roll decor and background music. This theme extends to the names of the 'house' beer and cider on two of the four handpumps, with Hop Shed Wybar (£3.50) and Salopian Lemon Dream available from the other pair.

Ian Mapp left this review about The Arch Rivals

One to hunt out - hosted in a railway arch along a lane that has a gated dead end nearest the river.

Interior decor described by Quinno - very musical vibe. Can only liken it to drinking in an Anderson shelter and the trains rumbling overhead can be interpreted as falling doodlebugs, for the full experience.

Started to fill up with regulars around 5:30pm - which was an encouraging sign. Many craft cans on display and a couple of handpulls - with the Wye Valley HPA in tremendous condition.

Quinno _ left this review about The Arch Rivals

An under-the-railway-arch place in an area Worcester is trying to turn into its own version of alt-hipster. A fair bit of time and effort has been spent here and it functions much more as a pub/bar than perhaps I anticipated. It's been decorated with grey, black and red tones, like my bedroom was in the late 1980’s. Framed LP covers on a shelf; old 78s acting as the seat on stools. Nice corrugating on the arch. It feels clean and tidy, rather than grubby and industrial. Went for Sadler Hop Bomb (NBSS 4) and some sort of Grape Ale which I couldn’t really score as it wasn’t a particularly pleasant brew to begin with. A notable variety of bottles and keg stuff too. Quite enjoyable overall and worth doing.

Called in as it was one of the 12 bars in Worcester joining together for a pub beer festival. Two cask ales on offer, Sadlers Hop Bomb and Fixed Wheel The Sheriff. Enjoyed The Sheriff sat outside in the sunshine.

Old Boots left this review about The Arch Rivals

Bar in railway arch, ten or so arches away from Worcester brewing co but serving mainly Sadler’s beers on two pulls and two triple keg taps. Usual steel lining and block work infill. Album covers from 1960s & 70s and music posters as decor, eclectic furnishings of dining chairs metal stools with LPs as cushions and a leather sofa. Trains in and out of Foregate station rumble overhead. Unisex toilet on ground floor.
