Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Winckley Street Ale House

The Otter's Pocket has changed into an alehouse that is little bigger than some micro-pubs inside, although there is some additional pavement seating too. Pomona Island Cruffatin bitter (£3.50) and Cheshire Pale from Mobberley Brewhouse available from two of the four handpumps, plus ten interesting craft beers in a range of styles and strengths from the keg taps on the bar-back. Benefits from a friendly and knowledgeable barman.

Modern style pie and mash shop, but without the classic white wall tiles, marble top counter and no sign of any liquor. The space consisted of an L shaped seating area, with the front seating area being the widest and a short and narrow seating area at the rear. There was a small serving and bar area midway on the right, which had three handpumps, with a choice of Watney's Pale Ale, Band of Brothers Citra Pale and Elland Nettle Thrasher. We just popped in for a quick drink, which wasn't a problem as the place wasn't full.

Brand new pie and ale place, located on a pleasant cobbled side street near Preston's office quarter. the place was packed today and I arrived only 10 minutes after opening time, queues were already out of the door. all food is half priced until the end of November and it's the place to be for now. the one room is cosy although just too busy for comfort today. service is also slow so i'd recommend waiting till this place settles down. real ales from Bowland, Kelham Island and Dark Drake plus a vast array of trendy and less trendy keg/cans/bottles.
