Steve C left this review about The West Hoe

The West Hoe is a corner pub with a few picnic tables out front behind a waist high wall. On the pub’s corner there are a few steps up to the entrance and inside is a central U-shaped counter that serves seating to the left and right. In the left rear corner is a small stage. I didn’t note any live music advertisements, but there is a quiz every Thursday. The bar supports Standard and Premium keg and the two hand pumps were drawing Greene King IPA and Adnams Ghost Ship. Food is available during the day. There was some low background music playing, but I found it a bit boring during my recent Tuesday evening visit. Seemed to be more popular with the older residents of the area.

Called here as we were with a friend staying in the area and this was in the more residential area of the Hoe. We enjoyed the Caledonian Old Seadog beer served, and they did a massive budget priced fish and chips. Well worth going in if staying in the area.
