Real Ale Ray left this review about Mean-Eyed Cat

A very colourful and arty sort of micro, maybe on the lines of a Mexican bar. This pub had a good selection of ales across six handpumps along the bar, on our visit. Plus a selection of 6 craft keg, served from taps situated along the wall at the far end of the bar. We went for the Northern Monk New World IPA and the Almasty Cramped. The prices in here for a pint of cask was also very reasonable, ranging from £3.50 - £3.80. This micro had a good atmosphere and the owner and staff were all friendly and chatty.

Situated across the road from the Haymarket bus station this is a small independent micropub with 6 ever changing cask beers.
