A very good micropub with 4 handpulls for cask and 10 taps for keggy beers. A good choice of casks and the pub was a friendly place. I'll visit again next time I'm in Preston.

Busiest of the micros attended in Preston. They were having some sort of Mexican theme night, with pop up food served from a gazebo outside.

Beer wise - spoiled again, with a good choice and my Rivington in Good condition. Presumably my 5.2% beer was sold in a maximum of schooners to soften the price blow.

Yet another(!) shop to micropub conversion in Preston. My notes are sketchy, verbatim; ‘Tight interior with dark green walls’. It seems like there’s another room upstairs so it looks like my urge to explore had been dulled by this point! Four cask and a slab of craftykeg. My North Riding Toffee Ripple was in good shape (NBSS 3.5). Seemed like a good, well-run place to me. 7.5

The last place I visited on the Preston crawl before heading for my train. It feels like a proper micropub with friendly staff and customers. My pint of Wild Spring Forward was in excellent nick and I'd happily have stayed for another.

Another winner in Preston, as previously described its a micro/craft bar shop conversion, I went keg on this occassion with A Herald Of Change a collab between Cloudwater and the intrguingly named Girls Who Grind Coffee, I have no recollection of the prices at this stage of the game and was beyond caring but I do remember It was a pretty good place and would eagerly come back.

Plug & Taps is a shop converted bar that was busy with a friendly crowd late on a recent Friday afternoon. The bar runs up the right wall and there is a beer shelf and stools up the left wall. The four handpumps were drawing Deya It’s All Linked Pale Ale, Wild Beer Co’s Spring Forward, Salopian Time Millionaires and North Ryding Toffee Ripple Porter. In the back bar are ten or so fonts for dispensing craft keg. I found the staff to be friendly and there was a good atmosphere in here.

Opened in 2018 this is another shop conversion to a micro pub in Preston that is really improving the beer reputation of the town. Set over two levels the downstairs bar area is mainly for vertical drinking only with the exception of the drinking ledge with high stools to the front window and a couple of aluminium tables to the front on the pavement.
And then upstairs past the toilets is a bigger room in a fetching blue decor with lots of additional seating that was being completely ignored by the assembled punters on this early Friday evening.
Primarily focussed on craft ales with a 10 tap wall behind the bar with some interesting options from the likes of Verdant, Cloudwater and The Kernal as well as ones from breweries I was less familiar with. And a 2/3 measure of the cloudwater 6% West Coast IPA would lighten your wallet of a Lady, ( that’s £5 to non cockneys), which I didn’t think was too outrageous for a craft brew. But I was here for the real ale and there are four hand pumps on the front of the bar which had North Riding Toffee Ripple Porter, Salopian Time Millionaires Golden Ale, Wild Beer Spring Forward Session amber ale and Deya It's All Linked Pale Ale.
The strengths and prices are all shown on the chalk board at the end of the bar along with the brewery locations and it was good to see that whoever had the job of writing it had a sense of humour with North Riding described as being in Scarbados.
This is a very good micro and I wish it success.

This is a micro-style drinking emporium attractively located opposite the former Corn Exchange in amusingly named Lune Street.
As described below, I opted for a half of the very nice North Riding's Toffee Ripple Porter, neither price nor tasting notes recorded.

Another nice little beer bar in a shop conversion with 4 handpumps in use and a row of wall keg taps offering quite a good range. It feels slightly more weathered-in than the most and seemed a pleasant place for a pint or two, alongside the band of obvious regulars.

A shop conversion to a micro pub,but with more room than you would imagine and two small metal tables outside if you need a tab. There is a drinking ledge with high seats in the front window and room for lots of vertical drinking inside, busy but not packed at 7pm on a Friday evening.
Four handpumps were serving Deya It's All Linked (NBSS 3.5),Wild Beer Spring, Salopian Time Millionaires and North Riding Toffee Ripple Porter. The 10 craft keg taps had some very interesting options, many very high ABV and a good mix of styles.
Not far from the station,I really liked this micro and would definitely return, taking a bit more time than this crawl visit.Don't miss it.
