Country house hotel and golf club. It's quite an interesting building, they claim it dates from the fourteenth century but you'd be pushed to tell. At any rate, the main building is a warren of rooms with a modern accommodation block to one side and a function suite across a courtyard. The public bar is a pleasant, if functional affair, but there are plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy the extensive views over the Warwickshire countryside. There is a handpump, clip turned when we visited.
If you're looking for an easy refreshment stop on the A46 you can do a lot worse.
