A fairly new Greene King purpose-built pub next to, but not really part of, the marina. It’s quite bright and airy inside, and it’s set out as a carvery. There is a reception podium, manned by a very friendly and helpful lady when we visited. Sadly, the bar staff were not so professional, and we were ignored for some time by a lady who kept her back to us while faffing around with gin bottles. Ales on were Abbott, GK IPA and, surprisingly, Old Peculiar. The ales were in drinkable condition, though not the best I’ve had. A good place to drink if you’re in the marina, and OK for a cheap meal if passing.
