Will Larter left this review about KerbEdge

I had noted this as one to come back to while taking photos of the series of bars and cafes along Princes Avenue. A plain brick building with an outdoor seating area, it looked a little newer and therefore less well established than most of the others, so I thought it might be worth a try. On closer examination, it's a bit on the cafe side of bar, with food and ice cream as well as coffee, but there is a bar with five keg fonts. Having been told, on Camra's Discourse forum of all places, that I need to be more open minded about keg beer, I made my selection. My half of Atom Quantum State 4.2% was neither excessively cold, nor excessively fizzy, nor (at £2 for a half) ridiculously expensive. Which just goes to show that none of those attributes are prerequisites of keg beers. (Are you listening, Brewdog?) While drinking my beer, which was cold and fizzy (just not excessively so) I noted that the walls here are exposed brickwork of a rather poor quality, with other decor comprising industrial and recycled timber and metal. The music was interesting, but there was also an interesting smell, which may have been of the damp and mould variety; hopefully it was just the mortar in the walls.
