peter ashworth left this review about The Station

This Victorian station house which dates back to 1893 has been boarded up for a quarter of a century, but after a 2 Million pound revamp is back to it's former glory with many of the original features still preserved and intact.
An excellent conversion has been undertaken with all the building being made use of.On entry the bar is slightly to the left, with on the right a few chesterfields and wooded furniture feature.to the left is a corridor past the bar which houses 3 impressive railway carriage booths and beyond this is the coal hole which is another furnished room. There is also an upstairs part that is reached by ascending the metal spiral staircase.
Plenty of cakes on offer at the bar but on the beer front there was one cask hand pull from the Thurnall Taverns which was Cheshire Lines ale plus a Becks Vier and Stronbow on tap.
Opening times are 6-45 till 18-00 Mon and Tues 6-45 till 22-00 Wed and Thurs 6-45 till 23-00 Fri 9-00 till 23-00 Sat and 9-00 till 17-00 Sun
