Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bookmakers Arms

In a village that has lost all its traditional pubs, this micro-pub is a very welcome condition. Being located in a corner building and having large windows on two sides, the adjoining bar and lounge areas still have a light an airy feel. Mix of furniture and a pleasing selection of ephemera for decoration. I found two Mad Cat beers served on gravity from a stillage in the room behind the compact counter - Platinum Blonde (£4.00) and Golden IPA - plus Curious Brew Lager on the solitary keg tap.

November 2019. Update: I finally managed to visit this pub, finding an attractive corner site in a pleasant,if otherwise, pub free high street. A former kitchen shop, the serving bar faces the door in a simply furnished room.To the rear, a tap room with stillage for the gravity dispensed beers.
On my early evening visit I had a friendly welcome from the Guv,who outlined his beer philosophy-a constantly rotating choice from around the country. An asset to the village.
