This has to be one of the smartest estate pubs I've ever been to. It's part of the Stonegate chain and seems to have had a recent refurbishment - it's very smart, light and airy, with modern furniture all in good condition. The urinals have splash boards! There's a public bar to the left on entering, but the background music was a bit loud for me here so I went through to the lounge/dining room to the right, which was smaller and quieter.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a reasonable offering of real ales and cider (see photos), with my half of Doom Bar, which was in good condition, being only £1.22 after applying the Camra members discount. This is quite a pleasant place to spend a few minutes over a half, and for those who live in this suburb of Derby it would be a good place to spend a session.
