i had no intentions of heading back to the Brewery Village any time soon but got dragged back here today and tried this dark and cavernous bar. it's not particularly cosy inside so I retired to the beer garden with my £5 pint of fizz. I saw more people posing for selfies outside the building than actually buying a pint which says a lot.

Cannot add much to Al's review and agree it is a very large place over 2 floors with 2 bars upstairs, albeit one seems to be a cocktail bar.Although there was no cask i did quite like the place and found the barmaid friendly and helpful and although there is a little work undergoing upstairs kindly let me have a nosey around. Certainly worth a visit.

New two-floored bar in the Cains Brewery complex. A large interior set within a warehouse. The ground floor has a central island bar dominating the room. Seating around the bar consists of a mixture of low and high tables and chairs. The decor is industrial and basic with stone slabbing and bare brick. Images from the TV show can be found on the walls. 4 copper pilsner tanks greet you as you enter. Upstairs has another bar. There are two rooms upstairs with a large square room to the rear. Decor similar to downstairs. Unlike the Peaky Blinders in Southport there is no real ale to be found here. Kegs of Europops and America pop only. Its an interesting place and probably the best of the bars that have opened so far.
