Ian Mapp left this review about The Bull

Impressive building. Sorted of looked pubby, yet not pubby enough. Last review gives the detail of its past.

Inside, its a typical looking London Gastropub.

Low score for some terrible beer - both Cask and Keg. I started with a Redemption Urban Dusk which had a look that would have sent Fergal Sharkey into a fit. Bog water of the first degree. This was sent back and I hope that if Redemption are watching their untappd checkins, they consider carefully who they let sell their beer. Its enough to put you off a brewery for ever.

This was changed for a Keg Helles. A Swiss 1936 Bierre.
Maybe the swiss brew differently but I have never had a cloudy helles before.

Aqualung . left this review about Manor House

This place is a conversion of a bank that was previously the local Conservative Club. When I first saw it I assumed it was a restaurant. It describes itself as a pub, dining room and coffee house. It's a grand old building that has an extensive patio / garden at the front which is popular in good weather. Inside on the ground floor there is a large room with a central bar and areas to the front an either side. It's a typical trendy looking place with a wooden floor and decorated in two different shades of grey. I didn't go upstairs but apparently there is a dining room which can be booked as a function room.
There are six hand pumps which had one available soon, two ciders, Sharp's Atlantic, Tiny Rebel Apache and One Mile End Dockers Delight. I went for the Apache (£4.50) which was in good nick but expensive. In their defence they do advertise cask ales for £3.50 Mon-Wed. This is a pleasant enough place but is only yards from my favourite local Spoons. Nevertheless, I might be inclined to drop in on an early weekday with the cheaper prices.
