Real Ale Ray left this review about The Potting Shed

A large carnivorous pub converted from what was the Rutson Hospital. This multi roomed pub along with a collection of potting sheds positioned around the rear courtyard, seems to be a big hit with families and teenagers gorging through burger stacks and oversized pizzas. I am quite surprised Spoons didn't get in here due to the size of the place, must have had some local opposition. Beer wise, very disappointing with only one beer to be had across four pumps, Camerons Skyline, which didn't warrant a second pint.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Potting Shed

Recent conversion of a cluster of buildings with a rambling interior providing a variety of seating / dining areas. The interior decorators have provided a diverse mixture of semi-modern features, including the faux 'beach huts' out in the side patio beer garden, but also the traditional lounges at the front. There is also an open kitchen at the back, by the bar counter. Three of four handpumps in use, offering the Bitter Revival from Beer Monkey, The Russian Linesman from Cameron's and Hansom Blonde from York. Surprisingly, there was also live music in the late afternoon, which was a bit of a bonus.

Old Boots left this review about The Potting Shed

Newish chain pub housed in old hospital buildings at the more northerly end of the High Street. The bar is to the rear of a mix of multi roomed building and newly covered in courtyard. The rest of the old courtyard is open with a collection of, what I guess to be, potting sheds down one side, although they look more like seaside chalets to me. It has sports screens, is pretty much food oriented with a pizza oven on show in the open to view kitchen area. Three pulls with a couple from Black Sheep and a house beer "Potting Shed Amber" brewed by Stotfold, in reasonable condition, there are also three horseshoes of keg offerings. Décor is typical modern pub with some twigs and gardening tools thrown in. It has live music occasionally, there is a small stage with a mixer and the stage bizarrely was occupied by a kitchen table when we popped in. It is apparently girlie and child friendly.
