Quinno _ left this review about The Lounge

Located in the ‘burbs of Plymouth it almost looks like a house as it's back from the road and shielded by foliage. Two areas, a front bar and up a step to a petering out rear area with darts. Blood red painted walls, like the blood river from The Shining has passed through. Too many bar blockers to make ordering simple, but through the line of silverbacks I managed to spot four ales on - Bass, Hunters Half Bore & Royal Hunt and Otter Poppy. We went for the Bass (so-so) and Royal Hunt which was pretty ropey. Deciding I couldn’t be arsed navigating through Gorillas in the Mist at the bar again, I left most of mine in the glass. GBG2016 listed but on this showing, I’d be very surprised to see it in the next one. A note of comic relief was sounded by an old geezer who tipped more 10p coins over his table than an arcade shunter machine paying out, and proceeded to count them one by one into piles. Obviously must be a regular occurrence as he was joined by a barmaid who took enough from his stacks to get a pint. I may have got extremely unlucky here but I wouldn’t make the trip out specially next time.
