E TA left this review about Toby Carvery

A brand new (May 2017) Toby Carvery on a small retail park just outside the main town centre, convenient for, and having far-reaching views of, the cinema and the supermarkets. There is plenty of parking nearby, most of it free for 3 hours or more. There is a tiny outside terrace at the front on one corner. You enter quite a large space, some of it fenced off by high screens in an attempt to provide some intimate eating areas. Most of the area is taken up with dining tables, and the drinking area is tiny. The ambience was OK for one of these places, the staff were pleasant, the muzak was rather annoying, the food was predictably ordinary. Three handpumps on the bar, two with reversed clips and one with Bath Ales's Gem, which was much too sweet, but served at the right temperature and otherwise drinkable. OK as these places go.
