Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Shell-ter

Micropub situated near a busy road junction called Shell Corner. It presumably themes itself as a bomb shelter, with numerous war-related items, such as hand grenades, gas masks, model planes and the like.

The owner didn't sound as if he was from these parts. Sure enough, chatting to him, he is from North London.

3 real ales were on - Wye Valley HPA & Butty Bach & Ludlow Stairway. Ciders were Lilley's Mango Cider & Pineapple Cider & Gwynt y Ddraig Black Dragon.

As a bar, this place is not too bad. Whether it is a micropub in the traditional sense, I'm not so sure. It serves more national keg beers than cask ales, music was being played quite loud and it doesn't appear to have been a shop unit originally!

This building was formerly used as a storage unit. The interior has a decent sized room with an open plan vaulted ceiling, with a small compact bar area situated on the left hand side of the entrance, there was also a small snug at the rear. The walls and timberwork are painted in light and dark grey colours a stained glass window over the main entrance made an interesting feature, the floors were also carpeted throughout. There was also some pictures of spitfires and some Second World War memorabilia around the walls, to keep in the theme with the name Shell-ter. This micro is also situated at a crossroads sign posted as Shell Corner.
Three handpumps, serving Wye Valley HPA, Hobsons Bitter and Backyard Divinity, on our visit. We went for the Backyard, which was in good shape.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Shell-ter

Very newly established micro-pub, created from a compact hall-like building with various partitions added for toilets, etc. Six rustic tables, and battleship-grey chairs to match the painted walls. Limited, mostly Second World War-themed decor, but this is probably a work in progress. Three handpumps on the short counter, offering two beers from Wye Valley - HPA and Butty Bach - plus Enville Ale (£3.00) when I visited, but the growing selection of clips suggests a wider sourcing policy.
